Thank you for your interest in joining our Sixth Form.
We constantly strive to provide a smooth and professional admissions experience and are excited to move our admissions process to an environmentally-friendly online platform.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
We welcome applications from pupils in our own year 11 but also from other schools.
All students must attain five 9 - 4 grades at GCSE, including a grade 4 in English Language and Mathematics. Individual subjects may require specific grades in a particular subject at GCSE. Please refer to the individual subject information (Page 4).
All students are expected to choose 3 A-Levels, which they will study for 2 years. There is also an option for students gaining a grade 7 in Mathematics to study Further Maths.
In addition, students will choose to study an enrichment course which they will follow in Year 12.
Some courses have a traditional exam focus, while others are assessment based. It is important to make the right choices for you, selecting the most appropriate courses as purely exam-based subjects are not suited to every student.
Please check our University Preparation and Future Careers pages for more information on selecting the right courses for you.
INTERVIEWS
All students will be interviewed by a member of the Sixth Form team. This will enable them to make an informed choice about the best subjects to suit their individual needs. Parents are welcome to discuss these choices with the Sixth Form team following the interview.

BURSARIES
The 16-18 Student Bursary Fund is a cash-limited fund to support learners who would benefit from financial support to help overcome specific barriers to participation, so they can remain in education. The award is dependent on DfE funds available to the Academy and individual students’ circumstances. The bursary is a separate payment from free school meals which you may be eligible for and can apply for directly through your local authority. Further information regarding how to apply for bursary funding will be provided when a place in the sixth form is awarded.
